Long Beach

Last year I went to Long Beach which is in Long Island, NY. The day was really nice outside and there weather was really good to play with the waves. However the water is kind of dark in that beach is not as clear as the beaches that I went in Mexico. I think is because all the industries that release stuff in the ocean which is too bad. Anyway I had a good time in Long Beach and I really enjoyed that day.

How time passes

How time passes.
It seems for me that was yesterday the day when I took my placement test at NCC. I remember been kind of shine when I first got in to ESL class. In my first day of classes, I was really nervous because I didn’t know anybody in the class room. However I really like that class everyone was really nice. But I didn’t like because the teacher give us a lot of homework every week for example this blogs which im still trying to caught up and I hope I will.

Prom

Last year I went to my senior prom which was ok. However, the after party was really fun. First we all meet at one of my friends house were we took more than a thousand pictures. Then we went to the place where we had our prom. Which I don’t really remember where was it and I was not drunk at that time…ha-ha. Ok then we came back to Ridgefield and we had our after party in another friend’s house were we had a lot of fun.

Pool

I like to swim because it feels great even more during summer time when the weather is about 80 degrades. I have been waiting for this summer time and everything I pass near the pool that is in the condo where I live. I just want to jump in but the pool hasn’t been open yet, which is too bad because I’m want to go inside so badly. However, these last week the weather has being kind of bad for swimming.

At work

I work in a restaurant as a busboy. It’s not hard work to do, and I have a lot of fun there with all the other workers. I am the youngest guy in that restaurant and of course the more annoying one. The days that we are not too busy I always find something to do. However most of the time doesn’t anything to do with my job. Most of the times I do some bad stuff like the one from the picture. That day I tied a piece of paper to one of the cook so that he could look as it was his ponytail. That was funny, but when he found out about that he was kind of mad. But then he was laughing too. Now everything that someone does something like that everyone looks at me as if I was the one who did it.

Motorcycle Day

Last year my boss invited me to a place called Rocky Hill is a place to ride motorcycle. That day was really fun even when I didn’t ride one, first because I don’t have a motorcycle and second because I don’t know how to ride motorcycle. However was really interesting to watch and I was funny when someone fell down, everything someone fell down I always laugh out loud just to make fun of them. Any the most funny thing of that day ways when one of the guys that also works in the restaurant run out of gasoline in the middle of the race, that was so funny. I think he is little retarded because he forgot that the motorcycle runs on gasoline.

Book Sale

Last week in the town (Ridgefield) where I live there was a book sale at the library. So Monday after school I passed by to see what books they had on sale. I was so lucky that day because that was the last day of the book sale and there was an especial offer, they gave me a plastic bag and I could put as many books as the fit in that bag for five dollars. So started to look in the fiction section, and I found so interesting books then I went to the mystery section and there that bag was full. Now I have so many books to read but I am so busy with the finals that I haven’t even read one book.

5 de mayo

5 de Mayo is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla, the state where I came from which is really nice in my opinion. I think is celebrate more here in the US than in Mexico. The holiday commemorates the Mexican army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. So tonight I am going to have a party at my house....sweeet!!

The best website.

I have a lot of websites like facebook to stay in touch with friends and family. For example: hi5, my space, sonic, and others. However im trying to get all my friends together so that I wont need to have five or six web sites and will be easy for me to just check one website. And not five. The one that I like the most is Facebook becuase its the one that is most advanced and it has a lot of fun stuff to do or to share with your friends or contacts. But most of my friends from Mexico use hi5 or sonic which are not that bad but Facebook is better than those websites. I bet that everyone is like me that have more than one site so connect with our friends and family. But it gets really annoying sometimes.

New Moon

New Moon is the second book of the serie Twilight.
I took the book from the library where I lived few weeks ago and I am almost done with it. I was suppose to be ready the other book for class but this one is very interesting because the Edward the vampire left and he leaves the Bella behind which wasnt I really good idea since the girl is in love with Edward. I should not tell the story in case you want to read it but with all this homework I dont think you can.
Ok so the story begins when Bella the main character is dreaming about her grandmother but some how it wasnt her grandmother, then bella's dream becomes a nightmare. Bella was now seeing a miror and the woman that she tought its was her gradmother wasnt, it was herself looking in the miror, then she saw the guy, Edward behind her and he wasnt in the miror becuase the vampires cant be reflected in the miror. So she was really upset thinking that she was going to be old and he wasnt. When she woke up she realize that it was her birthday and that make her more upset.

Twilight

Twilight is a movie that I saw few months ago which I really like it. Is about a human girl that falls in love with a male vampire. The story start when the girl named "Bella" moves to Washinton State In the northwest of the country, she moves to her father's house. She used to lived in Arizona where it was really sunny and the weather was warm. Now she lives with his father in a place called Forks where rains a lot and there is rarely sun light. She was really upset because of the weather but at the end of the story she did not want to move from that place because of this guy named Edward. Its a really good movie and the book is even better.

It has been a while since I wrote my last post. I need to write more but I just cannot make my mind...hahaha
ok I'll write about school.
College is really hard for me becuase its my first semester here and the teachers give a lot of homework. Even though I have only two clases, stills hard for me. I also dont like to do homework that much but I know I have to, for example this blog. This blog is really interesting, how we can express ourselves and share thoughts. Its really nice but it gets boring sometimes.
I like the blogs that my classmates have and they write really good, I really enjoy reading their work but I dont like to write mine.

Games I play with friends

During my childhood, my friends and I played soccer every afternoon. Most of the times we played soccer and other times we played baseball. Sometimes we went to the soccer field to play soccer but it was too big for us therefore we decided to make our own soccer field in the street of our neighborhood and every time a car passed by we had to stop the game, it was kind of annoying when cars passed by, but it was better than play in a real soccer field not only because it was smaller. Also we didn’t have to go get the ball if someone one kick the ball hard because we had walls in both sides of the street. However all of this ended when one kid from the neighborhood kicked the ball so hard that it when straight to a window from house and broke it. After that we could not play in the street again.

The Fast And The Furious 4

My cousins and me, we went to watch a movie called the Fast and Furious 4. The movie was amazing I really recommneded to everyone. It has the original parts and all the main actors from the from the first one. There are also two guys in the movie that speak spanish like me and that was kind of interesting for me because I didnt know that they were actor. I know that they are Puerto Ricans and they are singer/rapper. My cousins and I were laughing becuase they speak spanish so fast that it sounded fanny for us. Before the movie ends I wanted to go to the bathroom but I didnt go untill it end becuase I didnt want to miss any second of it.

Environment

Before I came to this college, especially to the class ELS 142, I hadn’t really known about the environmental problems. Before I only heard about it in TV or some friends that talk about it that was so frequently, one thing that I knew more was Global Warming because is the biggest problem, in my opinion. In NCC I learn too much about the environment and how to take care of it. For example the lab class, when everyone did their project about places that have environmental problems and I also learn that there I something that we can do it if we really want to do it. We can do it because nothing is impossible.

My favorite books

My favorite books are: first New Moon of course...ha-ha then The Body by Stephen King. The body is a really good story about three kids that went to search for a dead body. It sounds kind of scary and more when the book came from Stephen King. However is not about horror is more about friendship and childhood. The third of my favorite books is called Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption by Stephen king. This book is also not scary as most of the books that King writes. This story is about a guy that goes to jail without committing a crime, and at the end he escapes from prison but the way he does it, it’s really interesting. So those are my favorites so far.

the first day of snow

The snow day, my friends and me went out and made a snowman. That day we had about eight inches of snow so thats why we were able to make a snowman, and that day we all had a lot fun outside playing with the snow and making figures with it. After have been made the snowman and take some pictures with it we all start to make a snowcake which it did not look much like a cake but the good thing is that we were having fun with that. My friends start throwing snow at me and trying to get me to the ground to cover me with the snow; instead, they were the ones in the floor cover with snow haha.

The Second Day (ski Day) part. 2

When we arrive at the place we all rent the equipment to ski or snowboard. Some of the people did not rent anything but they played to go in so, I was a little confuse by that and my friend told me that there was a snow tubing slope and i was like what is that and she told me you will see. so we went inside and there was the snow tubing area. Tubing on snow is a wintertime activity that is similar to sledding. After I have found what was snow tubing we went to the beginners ski area where I fell most of the times and the beginning my friends that have skied before told us (the ones that haven't skied in our lives) how to put our skies and how to stop but, somehow I could stop as they told, going with the skies across the slope or making as a slice of pizza. When I went in the slope for the first time I fell right after a few meter of the start point it did not at all, once again i fell down and after falling down a few hundred times I start to make the pizza slice with my skies and I was able to stop, then I got used to and we where having a lot of fun. After everyone got the point we start to make everyone falling down by pushing each other then we decided to go a higher level of slope. Everyone got into the ski lift that took us to the top of the "Puff" slope that is one that is at the end of the right side of the hill. Everyone was going to race and the last three of us that get to the end of the trail were going to pay for the dinner. The six of us got ready for the race, one of my friends and me were pretty sure that we were going to be the ones that had to paid for the dinner because was our first time that we ski, even that we decided to race. The race start everyone start good the problems start when we catch people that were in the track that we were racing on. One of my friends fell down after he pass by a bad spot, everyone saw him because he was one the two in the first place. Then two of my friends fell down also because their pulling and pushing each other, after two of my friends fell in the tack I was in the third place but everything change when ahead of me was a person that fell down also and I almost crash with him but I didn't instead I make a turn and I fell down I tried to get up as fastest I could but I was to late my friend the one who fell first passed me and then I knew that my two friends and I had to pay the dinner. But anyway I got up and my to friends were still behind me because they fighting to not be in the last place. Everyone got at the end of the slope and I took the fourth place in the race and I had to pay for the dinner, the three of my friends who won started to make plans about who they would eat obviously they will order the expense food.

The Second Day (ski Day)

The Second day was the best, first we woke up around seven something then we took a shower and we went to have breakfast at eight thrity. The breakfast was good, we had scramblend eggs with bacon, sausage and bread. And for drinks we had the choises of juice, coffee and hot chocolate. so, we all had I really good breakfast, after we all finish our breakfast we had about one hour of free time before the section. In our hour free we play cards, the card game is called "Uno". Uno is one of the world's most popular family card games, each of us were dealt seven cards with the remaining ones placed face down to form a "draw" pile. For some of my friends and for me was our first time playing that game, at that game everyone played fairly. We spent our free hour playing cards and none of us won. After that we had section for about two hours then we another few hours of free time to do whatever we wanted to do so my friends and I decieded to go play soccer at the gim and we played for about two hours then we went back to our dorms to get really to go ski. We left the Camp at three to the hill were we skied, the place is called Pats Peak is a small, independent alpine ski resort located in Henniker, New Hampshire in the United States. The ski area opened in 1963 and has 22 trails with a vertical drop of 710 feet (220 m). I dont remember exatly how long did it take to get there but it was aroud an half hour.

The first day of Camping

Friday February 13 is the first time since I came to United States, to go camping. Some of my friends that still in High School invited me to go camping with them on their Church Retreat to New Hampshire, and we were going to be back on Monday afternoon. So on Friday I went to buy some things that I needed for the trip, at three we left Connecticut and we arrived at seven at the Camp called Camp Spofford located on beautiful Spofford Lake in Spofford, New Hampshire. During the time that we were in the bus we watch two movies the first one was called Eagle Eye (2008) a really good movie for those who love technology. The second movie that we watch during the bus trip was called August Rush, a movie for those who love music I guess, even when I only saw the last part because I fell asleep at the beginning of the movie. After we arrived to the camp and everyone got into their dorms and set up everything we had section, the section part was very interesting we had a very good speaker and he was our roommate so my friends and I spend time talking to him about our life experience and he told us his life experience which was really interesting. So, after section we had about an hour of free time which we could use to explore the Camp or we could use it to unpack our stuff. My friends and I chose to explore the place even when the weather was really cold. At eleven thirty the camp lights were turned off every day; however, Sundays were turned off at twelve.
